LEFT TO RIGHT: KAREN, GAGE & JASON BEHRENS
Jason and Karen Behrens started Behrens Performance Horses in 2002 after they married. Karen grew up in Mississippi running barrels, poles and showing halter while Jason grew up in Voca, Texas riding horses on his family’s ranch working sheep and cattle. Together Jason and Karen took their skills and started buying and training horses for themselves and that quickly tuned into breaking colts and training horses for customers. Today Jason and Karen own the stallion BulliedByaFrenchman and raise and break his offspring. He has earned in excess of $20,000.00 running barrels and has proven himself as a 1D caliber horse but also is trained in breakaway and can be used on the head or heel side. Jason has used his knowledge in the sheep industry as well and has been breeding proven winners when it comes to Southdown Sheep!
